FICA Seattle Studio and Camp River Ranch in Carnation, WA
Capoeira Angola Workshops / Lectures / African Dance and samba Workshops / Movie Presentation: Rhythmic Uprising / Rodas
Camp River Ranch is located 45 miles east of Seattle, near Carnation and provides a beautiful 430 acre camp in the foothils of the Cascades.
The conference will start Thursday evening in Seattle at the studio for registration and Open Roda.
That night we will leave from the space to Camp River Ranch to spend 3 nights full of energy, dance, percussions and Capoeira Angola workshops divided by experience.
In attendance will be Mestre Jurandir, Mestre Valmir, Contra-mestre Silvinho, and others to be announced.
Early registration is $150.00 includes food, transport, and housing. Due by August 1, 2010.
After August 1st cost is $175.oo

- friday 2/27 we will end class early to go to the Roots of Brazil open roda at 7:30pm at Dance Fabulous on State St. We will probably end by 6:30 or 7pm to give people time to stop by Jamba Juice or refresh in some other way on the way there.

- 2/28: Saturday night we will be performing at 9pm at the High Noon Carnival Party... tickets are $12 and they will only let two of us in free... so please let me know if you plan on going and please get there by 8:30pm with your uniforms.
- 3/7: Chicago's monthly roda will be Sat March 7th from 3:30-6pm... I may or may not go... won't know 'till closer to the date. Anyone who can is of course encouraged to go.
- 3/8: CAM 2nd Sun Open Roda. Our monthly roda will be Sun March 8th from 4-6:30pm... PLEASE WEAR ALL WHITE CLOTHING. Chicago crew plans on coming but there will be no workshop beforehand this time. We may eat together before the roda.

Bayview is located in the "triangle" between W. Washington, Regent and S. Park St. If you are biking or walking, Braxton (just opposite the ambulance entrance to Meriter hospital on S. Park) is the street that brings you to the parking lot for Bayview. HOWEVER, if you are driving you have to park on W. Washington to avoid ticketing. From W. Washington you follow the sidewalks in to the center.
